Hi everyone,

Welcome to our webpage.

We are settling well into 6th Class and getting to know our PIE system. We've had cooking with Maria as our first four activities and we've really enjoyed it! We learned how to make apple crumble, as well as healthy breakfasts, sandwiches and wraps! Next year we'll be able to make healthy tasty lunches for Secondary School!

We've been learning all about James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown and we will be doing projects on it very soon. We are learning how to use Powerpoint in our groups.

We've been really lucky to have Sharon come in and help us with numeracy Team Teaching. We are getting up to speed on our fractions, it's great to have two teachers in the room when it's something really tricky!

We've done some really fun art too, we worked collaboratively to make flowers in vases. We looked at Van Gogh's Sunflowers as an example but we did ours a little more colourful. Have a look at the picture below to see how they turned out!

In Ethical Ed we learned about Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year. People eat apples dipped in honey to wish each other a sweet new year. Shana Tova!

Slán,
Fiona's Class
